Can I use the heat pants for incontinence as well?
Our panty liners are primarily designed to meet the needs of females during their heat. They provide a hygienic solution to keep your home clean of blood stains during this period. However, a large portion of our customers also use our pants for mild incontinence of their dog(s).
Can these heat pants also be used on male dogs?
For male dogs with incontinence, we recommend specially designed dog diapers that better fit the anatomy and specific needs of male dogs. These are designed to collect and manage urine more effectively, which is especially important for moderate to severe incontinence.
What size do I need?
To determine the correct size for your dog's heat pants, it is important to measure your dog's waist circumference. Measure the circumference of your dog's waist at the narrowest part of the abdomen, just behind the hind legs. Make sure the measuring tape is comfortable around your dog's waist, but not too tight or too loose.
Then you can refer to the size chart to find the right size based on your dog's measured waist circumference. Keep in mind that every dog is different and some dogs may fall in between sizes. In that case, we recommend choosing the larger size for your dog's comfort.
At how many degrees can I wash the heat pants?
To care for the Sharon B Washable Maternity Pants, we recommend washing them at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. This ensures that the panty is thoroughly cleaned while maintaining the integrity of the fabric. It is important to avoid putting them in the dryer, as the heat of the dryer can damage or shrink the material.
An additional tip for when your bitch is in heat: adding a dash of vinegar to the laundry can help remove blood stains and neutralize odors. White vinegar is a natural detergent that can help dissolve blood stains without using harmful chemicals.
Should I wash the shorts before use?
Yes, it is absolutely advisable to wash the panty hose before the first use. Not only is this important to remove any residue from the manufacturing process, but washing also improves the moisture absorption of the fabric. As with many textile products, the absorbency increases once the fabric is washed, resulting in better protection and comfort for your dog.
